On September 27, 2018, the Midsouth Chapter of the ITPA held its annual two-man scramble golf tournament at Dogwoods Golf Course in Grenada, MS. The tournament, as well as the silent auction and putting contest, raised nearly $4,000. Additionally, prizes were awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, the longest drive, and closest to the pin.
In October, the Midsouth ITPA held its auction at the Telecommunications Association of the Southeast (TELSE) annual convention in Point Clear, Alabama. Money raised will benefit the Midsouth ITPA’s general scholarship fund. Additionally, the Midsouth ITPA presented the Semper Fi Fund with $10,000. The Semper Fi Fund seeks to assist veterans with anything from therapy to education and healthcare (www.semperfifund.org).
